What is IMS?
IMS (Inventory Management System) automatically syncs your warehouse stock to marketplace fulfillment systems. When an available quantity changes, Zobrx detects it within seconds and pushes the update to all connected channels.

How IMS works
Detect
Available qty changes on a variant (warehouse staff adjustment, order reserve/release, etc.)
Mark Dirty
Zobrx marks variant as 'sync-dirty' (database flag stamped within 0.1s)
Sweep
Inventory sync-sweeper worker scans every hour for dirty variants across all tenants
Fetch Mappings
For each dirty variant, fetch all channel listings (Amazon ASIN, Flipkart FSN, Myntra VSKU, etc.)
Push to Channels
Call each marketplace's native inventory API (Amazon SP-API, Myntra IMS, Flipkart UFP, Meesho native)
Retry on Failure
Transient error? Retry with exponential backoff. Permanent error? Log to Coach, leave dirty for manual review.
Clear Flag
On success, clear 'sync-dirty' flag. Variant is now synced.
Bulletproof retry logic
Transient Errors
Errors that trigger retry:
- 429 (rate limit)
- Timeout / connection lost
- DNS resolution failure
Backoff: 1s → 2s → 4s → 8s → 16s → 60s (max 6 attempts)
Permanent Errors
Errors that don't retry:
- 404 (SKU not found on marketplace)
- 401 (auth failed)
- Variant unmapped (no Amazon ASIN, FSN, etc.)
Logged to Coach + stays dirty for manual review
