What we access from your Amazon account, and why

Seller Data Access & Transparency Notice · Version 1.2 · Effective 16 September 2026 · Evanik Networks Private Limited

1. In short

When you connect your Amazon account, you authorise us to read your business data from Amazon's Selling Partner API so we can show it back to you and help you operate your business.

Three commitments, up front:

  1. We use your data only to provide the features you can see. Not for anything else.
  2. We never combine your data with another seller's. No benchmarks, no market averages, no pooled datasets. Your data is used for you.
  3. We use your buyers' personal details only to ship their orders and for tax reporting. We never use them for anything else — see §4.

You can withdraw this authorisation at any time, from within our platform or directly in Seller Central. See §8.

2. How the connection works

You authorise us through Amazon's own authorisation flow. You sign in on Amazon's website, and Amazon tells us you have consented.

We never ask for, and never accept, your Amazon password. If you ever send us one — by email, chat or any other route — we will refuse it, we will not record it, and we will ask you to change it immediately. Nobody at our company will ever request it. Anyone who does is not us.

3. What we access, and what each thing is for

We request only the permissions the features you use actually need.

What we read or sendWhat we use it for
Orders and order itemsYour orders dashboard; fulfilment and dispatch workflows; profitability by SKU, channel and period
ReturnsReturn tracking; identifying returns eligible for a claim; return-rate analysis
Settlements and financial eventsReconciling what Amazon paid you against what you expected; fee analysis; identifying discrepancies
FBA inventory, inbound shipments and reimbursementsStock visibility; identifying reimbursement opportunities you may be owed
ListingsMapping your Amazon listings to your own product records; updating stock levels and listing details when you turn this on or instruct us to
ReportsThe underlying data for the above, and your tax and GST reporting
Seller performance / account healthShowing you your own account health, and alerting you to metrics at risk
Easy Ship and merchant-fulfilled shippingBooking shipments and producing shipping labels for your orders
Vendor Central (vendors only)Purchase orders, shipments, invoices and payments for your vendor account
NotificationsKeeping your data current without waiting for a scheduled sync

Everything in this table is your own business data, used for you.

Advertising data

If you separately connect Amazon's advertising APIs, we read campaign performance data — impressions, clicks, spend, attributed sales — to show your advertising results alongside your sales. This is a separate authorisation that you grant separately, and it contains no buyer personal data.

Requesting reviews

If you choose to request a review on an order, we use Amazon's own "Request a Review" mechanism. Amazon writes and sends the message. We cannot change its wording, cannot choose recipients based on how you expect them to rate you, and cannot send more than Amazon permits. Requests are sent one order at a time, and we keep a log of which orders a request was sent for, so you can see it and so we do not send twice.

We offer no way to solicit, incentivise, or influence the content of a review. We do not use Amazon's Buyer-Seller Messaging service and cannot send any other message to your buyers.

4. Your buyers' personal information — used only to ship and for tax

Amazon restricts buyer personal information and provides it only for specific purposes. We use it in two cases only:

  • Shipping your merchant-fulfilled orders. When you ship an order through your own courier account (for example Delhivery) from our platform, we fetch that order's shipping address from Amazon at that moment, using Amazon's restricted-data process, and pass it to your courier to create the shipment. We do not store the address. The shipping label, which shows the address, is deleted automatically 30 days after it is created.
  • Tax reporting. For business (B2B) orders, Amazon's tax reports include the buyer's business name and GST number. We keep these for your GST reporting, for up to 540 days.

We never use buyer personal information for marketing, analytics, or any other purpose, and we never share it with anyone except your courier for the shipment it belongs to and, for B2B tax details, the accounting system you connect.

5. What we will never do with your data

  • We will never combine your data with other sellers' data. No benchmarks, no category averages, no "how do you compare" reports, no pooled dataset — for any purpose, paid or free.
  • We will never use your data for marketing. Not to market to your buyers, not to market to you, not to find prospects.
  • We will never publish anything about Amazon's business derived from your data — no market reports, no trend commentary.
  • We will never sell, rent or licence your data to anyone.
  • We will never allow any AI provider to train on your data. Our AI features use one provider, named in §6, under terms that prohibit training on what we send. No other AI provider receives your Amazon data.
  • We will never look at your data without a business reason. Our staff access is restricted by role, and access is logged.

6. Who else sees your data

WhoWhat they getWhy
Amazon Web ServicesHosts our platform; your data is stored in India (Mumbai region), encryptedWe run on cloud infrastructure
Anthropic (AI provider, United States)Only when you use an AI feature: the business fields needed to produce the text you asked for — for example identifiers, amounts, dates. Never your buyers' names, email addresses, phone numbers or street addressesTo write the summary, explanation or draft you requested. Anthropic is contractually prohibited from using it to train their models, and has no access to our systems
Your courier (for example Delhivery, using your own courier account)For merchant-fulfilled orders you ship through us: the shipment details and the buyer's shipping address for that orderTo create the shipment you asked for
Your accounting system (for example Zoho Books), only if you connect itAccounting entries for your sales, returns and settlements, including Amazon; for B2B sales, the buyer's business name and GST numberTo post your accounts, at your instruction
People you choose to send scheduled reports toA time-limited download link to the report you scheduledTo deliver reports you set up

That is the complete list. Apart from Amazon Web Services, every destination above is one you choose and control. No other company receives your Amazon data, and we have no data feeds or partner integrations that send it anywhere else. You can also download your own data, for example as spreadsheets or as accounting files for Tally. Pages of our web application are delivered through Amazon Web Services' content delivery network, which processes them in transit only.

7. How long we keep it

No longer than 540 days — the maximum Amazon permits. Shipping labels are deleted after 30 days. Automatic expiry is in place for report files and most of our Amazon data collections, and is being extended to all Amazon data.

8. Disconnecting, and deletion

You can disconnect at any time, from within our platform or from Seller Central.

When you disconnect: your authorisation is removed from our systems immediately and we stop reading your data. We then delete your Amazon data within 30 days.

You can also ask us to delete your data at any time by contacting ceo@evanik.com. We complete deletion within 30 days, and can provide written confirmation that it is done. The only exception is raw report files kept in write-once storage, which cannot be deleted early by anyone and are removed automatically when their retention period ends; until then they are not used.

9. Keeping your data safe

  • Your data is separated from every other seller's at the database level, not just in our application — a request for your data cannot return anyone else's, and any attempt to cross that boundary raises an immediate alert.
  • Encrypted both in transit and when stored, with your authorisation token protected by a further layer of encryption under a key specific to you.
  • Staff access is restricted by role and recorded in a tamper-evident audit trail.
  • If anything ever goes wrong with your data, we will tell you, and we will tell Amazon within 24 hours.

10. If we change this

We will tell you before any material change takes effect. This notice is reviewed at least annually.
